About the role:

As a teacher at Fernways School will play a vital role in delivering the school's vision of providing a creative curriculum tailored to meet the unique needs and interests of each child, enabling them to make progress and develop into well-rounded, confident, and independent young people.

You will be working across Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics subjects.

You will be responsible for planning and teaching well-structured lessons, assessing and monitoring student progress, and adapting teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of pupils with Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and other complex needs.

About you:

For this role, we are looking for someone who holds QTS, and ideally you will have experience of working with children with SEND and ASC. With a proven ability to deliver high quality, lively and effective primary/secondary teaching, which engages and motivates young people, you’ll be someone who has a passion for supporting them to learn and develop, and you’ll want to make a difference to the lives and education of our children and young people. Fernways School, part of Kedleston Group, is an independent specialist day school in Windlesham, Surrey, for children and young people aged between the ages of 7 and 16. We support children and young people with an autism spectrum condition.
