About the role:
As a Care Worker at Austen Cottage, you will be an integral part of our team who put the children and young people at the heart of everything we do. You will support the children to progress and develop onto the next stages of their lives, through the daily care that you provide.
You will provide tailored, child centred care to support the children to develop independence skills, achieve academically, develop their own identity, support their health and well-being, support them to achieve in other areas of their lives, support and promote family links, and provide exciting and enjoyable experiences and opportunities for the children.
About you:
Ideally, for this role, we are looking for a qualified Care Worker (Level 3 in Residential Childcare) who has experience of working within a SEMH (social, emotional and mental health difficulties) setting, and has a passion for supporting children to develop and thrive, but more importantly, someone who wants to make a difference to the lives of our children and young people. About us:
Austen Cottage in Coventry is for children and young people aged between the ages of 9 and 17 who may have experienced social, emotional and mental health needs. We will be providing a nurturing home led by highly-experienced managers and with a strong, vibrant team, each of whom bring their own specialisms, including sport, mental health and outdoor activities.
