As school chef at Arc Napton, you will be an integral part of our team who put the children and young people at the heart of everything we do.

You will work in accordance with defined standards and quality, working within DfE guidelines regarding current health safety and hygiene legislation and the school’s Health and Safety policy, with the aim of achieving high standards of customer care and good quality at best price.

As School Chef you will plan, prepare and serve food to meet pupil’s needs, any specific dietary requirements and in accordance with food hygiene standards. This will include preparing cold food, warm food, hot and cold drinks plus any packed lunches, group catering and event catering as required. The role will include some cookery and nutrition teaching under direction of a qualified teacher for our pupils and any applicant will need to show willingness to work with the young people beyond the basic role of a school chef. Your role will require day to day interaction with the pupils in a caring and professional manner.

About you:

For this role, we are looking for someone with experience of catering to a range of dietary requirements, experience of leading their own kitchen, and the ability to adapt to our children’s eating needs. We are looking for someone who has a proven ability to deliver high quality meals, using fresh ingredients and with a passion to change children’s mindsets in terms of the foods that they eat. Arc School Napton is part of the Kedleston Group. It is an independent specialist primary school in Napton-on-the-hill, Warwickshire, for children and young people aged between the ages of 5 and 11. We support children and young people with a range of needs, including speech and language difficulties, MLD, ASC, ADHD, SEMH and many more. Our focus is on maximising every child’s potential, supporting them in being ready to learn and providing them with a range of learning opportunities in school and the local community.
