PUPILS at Arc School Old Arley have been celebrating their recent exam results.
The pupils achieved in a range of qualifications including GCSE other qualifications in subjects including Maths, English, Science, PE, Duke of Edinburgh, Construction, Childcare and Car Mechanics.
Each student moving on from the school achieved a formal qualification in mathematics and English alongside a range of other academic, vocational and other qualifications. Seven students achieved a Double Science GCSE.
All of the students will go on to further education, employment or training including apprenticeships and college courses in construction, land-based studies and animal care, hair and beauty, health and social care, motor mechanics, sports and music.
Headteacher Victoria Bates said: "We are incredibly proud of the students achievements and congratulate them all in their well earned successes.
“Their hard work and determination were key factors in securing such positive outcomes which will undoubtedly support them in their next steps outside of school whether that is in mainstream college, specialist college, training or employment.
“The aim at Old Arley is to provide students with opportunities to achieve relevant qualifications in subjects which focus on their key interests to enable them to pursue their career aspirations and individual goals. We therefore are dedicated to ensuring that we continue to offer such a wide range of diverse academic, vocational and other qualifications.

Arc School Old Arley is a day school and provides education and care for children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
The school is part of the Kedleston Group. Kedleston has a range of residential and day schools across the UK. Across the company’s seven secondary schools, pupils achieved a range of qualifications with hundreds of separate achievements recorded for students across the wide range of different qualifications on offer.
The Group is this year celebrating its 13th birthday and the exam results have certainly been reason to celebrate as schools across the Group have seen their students achieve hundreds of formal qualifications including GCSEs and BTECs across a variety of subjects during 2018-19.
Across the Group, pupils celebrated successes in GCSEs including in mathematics, art, English and science as well as biology, photography, art & design, sociology and history. The pupils also achieved BTECs, Foundation Studies, Entry Level and many other qualifications over the course of the year with some students achieving more than 11 meaningful qualifications each.
These successes and qualifications have seen 100% of leavers across the Group go on to further education, apprenticeships or employment with more than 75% going on to further education in a mainstream college.
There they will work towards careers in diverse areas including animal care, health and beauty, performing arts, construction, game design, travel and tourism, health and social care, carpentry, media. Other pupils are moving on to Sixth Form colleges where they will study for A-levels.
