It’s great to know that we make a difference in young people’s lives.
A little bit of background: A young man asked one of the teachers to send this email to Arc School Napton. He joined Arc School Napton in 2013 when he was just 8 years old and in Year 3. He then moved over to Arc School Old Arley in September 2016. Staff undertook careful planning and transition work to help him settle into life at secondary school.
The email read;
“Hi,
Paul* just stopped me in the corridor and asked how things are at Napton. He asked me to let you know (specifically you) that he is doing really well, has just done his first proper exam (functional skills maths level 1) but that he doesn’t know the result yet. He hopes things are good at Napton and that you are all well. I said I would pass his message on straight away. I think it’s so lovely that he still thinks of Napton with happy memories, is proud that he is achieving at Old Arley and that he has got the social awareness and confidence to remember you and wish you well.
What a great start to the morning…”
