Yesterday sounds like it was a very successful day for those participating in the World of Work Day at Leaways School.

General feedback from the staff team was that it was an interesting and fun day.

One of the students has decided she wants to join the Fire Cadets and is thinking about a career in the Fire Service. She realised that she can get the qualifications she needs to apply for the Fire service.

Other students made delicious fruit punch and snacks at Andina Peruvian restaurant for paying customers.

They also had fun building towers at the BT Tower so they could think about skills needed in engineering and working as a team.

While others enjoyed learning more about the different types of jobs at a busy train station and the routes into those careers.

Sounds like it was very beneficial and thought provoking for all of the students, which is exactly the desired outcome - great!
