Headteacher's Welcome

I am so pleased to welcome you to our school website. Arc School Old Arley is an SEMH specialist school that caters for pupils from Key Stage 2 through to the end of Key Stage 4. We are located in a rural village in Warwickshire but still have a plethora of activities on our doorstep to enjoy.

We are focused on giving our pupils the opportunity to develop personal learning and life skills, coupled with a sound academic foundation on which to build their future development. Our curriculum focusses heavily on developing the attributes needed to make a positive contribution to the wider world, having a strong sense of self and learning vocational skills that will enable pupils to successfully move onto the next stage of their education or career.

We strive to be a centre of excellence for vocational education tailored to the needs of the pupils who we serve. The team of staff that works at Arc School Old Arley see the potential in every child and every one of us has high expectations of them and what they can achieve. We welcome anyone who would like to be part of our journey to explore the website or get in touch with the school.

Jennifer Arnold, Headteacher.

Meet the team

We are an independent specialist school in Warwickshire providing an engaging educational offer within a supportive or tailored learning environment for children aged 7 -16 with specific or a range of learning needs, such as:

We support children with a primary need of SEMH, with additional needs such as ADHD, autism, learning needs and specific learning difficulties.

The school has a strong focus on helping children to develop their emotional wellbeing, trust-based relationships and resilience. The Sanctuary and other safe places in the school help children to work through their emotions and stay in school, even when that has been challenging for them in the past.

We aim to support vulnerable young people, who may have experienced bullying, abuse or trauma, and who may feel anxious of school enabling them to re-engage positively with education and thrive.
